Write for SCIS

Do you have a great idea that you’d like to write about? Do you have an existing blog that you’d like to showcase to a broader audience? The SCIS blog is a great way to increase your readership, advocate for your library – and share your fantastic ideas with colleagues around the world.

If you have ideas relevant to the school library community, we’d love to hear from you. You may wish to share your library’s experiences, or tips and tricks that you’ve learnt along the way. Blog posts can be between 500–1,500 words, and we welcome content from both first-time and experienced writers.

Some ideas for blog articles include:

  • Makerspaces
  • STE(A)M programs
  • Student-volunteer programs
  • Reading and literacy programs
  • Resourcing the curriculum
  • Library advocacy
  • School library design

If you’re interested in writing a blog post, or would like to recommend a colleague or a great blog you’ve read recently, please email connections@esa.edu.au.
